- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 Tablespoon ginger root diced or 1 T ground ginger
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 5 tsp black tea leaves or 4 tea bags
- 2 cups Milk
- Add ginger root or ground ginger and sugar to boiling water.
- Simmer for 10 minutes (or longer, for more flavor)
- Add 5 tsp black tea leaves
- Simmer 3-5 minutes, stirring as needed
- Add milk and heat until very hot but do not boil.
- Strain to remove ginger and tea.
