Ginger Tea

Ginger Tea


  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger root diced or 1 T ground ginger
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 5 tsp black tea leaves or 4 tea bags
  • 2 cups Milk


  1. Add ginger root or ground ginger and sugar to boiling water.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes (or longer, for more flavor)
  3. Add 5 tsp black tea leaves
  4. Simmer 3-5 minutes, stirring as needed
  5. Add milk and heat until very hot but do not boil.
  6. Strain to remove ginger and tea.
